Originally from West Los Angeles, I grew up in a Persian family and spent my entire childhood in a French international school. I recently spent the last 4 years abroad through my undergraduate degree program at Les Roches Global Hospitality Management. I studied on the Mediterranean coast in Spain, in the Swiss Alps, and in the bustling city of Shanghai. I worked in Food & Beverage at a St Regis property in Mexico and a Hyatt property in the jungles of Bali. I am now back stateside as of February 2020, here is my story.

 

Over the course of several years, I have had the opportunity to work in marketing at a hospitality group company in Hollywood, luxury concierge company in West Hollywood, and a pizza parlor in West LA. After commencing my studies at Les Roches, one of the top-ranked hospitality institutions worlwide, I completed an trainee program at the St Regis Punta Mita as a F&B Coordinator, and subsequently worked as an F&B Supervisor at Alila Ubud, part of Hyatt Hotels.

In my spare time, I do a lot of research on the restaurant industry and food trends. Discovering new exotic ingredients, finding out about rising chefs, and looking at how restaurants and eateries project their brand digitally are some of my favorite pastimes. I am particularly interested in how tech impacts the industry, and I follow reservation platforms, POS systems, and 3rd party delivery services closely, such as OpenTable, Resy, Tock, Toasttab, Clover, Grubhub, DoorDash, Postmates etc. 

 

Another area of interest is graphic design. I am an avid Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator user, these platforms are key to bringing brands to life, editing social media posts, and designing menus. I combine that knowledge with Procreate for iPad to create stunning visuals that bring life to any project I take on.
